Titanium Lifting Ep.2: InMode, Ultherapy, Thermage... What's the Difference? | Hongdae Titanium Lifting
When seeing patients, there are a few questions I hear all the time:
“Dr. OhVely, which is better between Titanium Lifting or Ultherapy?”
“How is it different from InMode?”
“My friend had Thermage FLX. Which treatment should I get?”
Whenever I hear these questions, my answer is always the same:
“It's not about which device is the best. What matters much more is choosing the treatment that is right for your face.”
Today, I'll walk you through the key features of each lifting treatment and explain how they differ!
There Are So Many Types of Lifting Treatments.
In the past, there weren't that many options when it came to lifting treatments.
Nowadays, however, there are numerous devices and treatment available, including, Titanium Lifting, Ultherapy, Thermage FLX, and Inmode.
It can actually be more difficult to decide which one is right for you.
Rather than competing with one another, each of these treatments has its own unique strengths and is designed to address different concerns.
That's why, during a consultation, I always start by assessing your skin condition rather than focusing on the name of a specific device.

The Biggest Advantage of Titanium Lifting: Immediate Results
After finishing a Titanium Lifting session, quite a few patients look in the mirror and say,
“Oh! My facial contour looks different already!”
Of course, results vary from person to person, but one of the main reasons patients are satisfied with Titanium Lifting is that visible lifting effects can often be noticed immediately after treatment.
Another advantage is that it can help improve skin firmness and overall skin tone at the same time.

Titanium Lifting Vs. Ultherapy: What's the Difference?
Ultherapy uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to deliver energy deep into the skin, reaching the SMAS layer.
It is commonly performed for patients concerned about sagging skin, and its effects generally become more noticeable gradually over time.
For this reason, if you’re preparing for an important photoshoot, wedding, or special event, Ultherapy is usually planned in advance rather than immediately before the occasion.
In comparison, Titanium Lifting delivers thermal energy to the skin,
offering both an immediate lifting effect and improved skin firmness.
This makes Titanium Lifting a popular option for those who have an important event coming up and are looking for more immediate, visible results.

Titanium Lifting Vs. Thermage: What's the Difference?
Thermage is a well-known skin-tightening treatment that uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to stimulate collagen production in the dermal layer.
It is often recommended for those who feel that their skin texture isn’t as smooth as it used to be, or that their skin has become thinner and less firm over time.
Many patients notice their skin gradually becoming firmer and tighter as time passes!
Titanium Lifting can also help improve skin firmness and tightness.
It may be a good option for those looking to address both lifting and overall skin tone at the same time.

Titanium Lifting Vs. InMode: What's the Difference?
InMode uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to help address both facial fat and skin firmness.
For those with more facial fat, it can help define the facial contour while improving skin elasticity.
The appropriate mode is selected according to each patient’s individual skin condition and concerns.
However, InMode may not be suitable for everyone.
For those with thinner skin, other lifting treatments may be a better option.
Titanium Lifting focuses more on improving skin firmness and providing an immediate lifting effect rather than reducing facial fat.
That’s why it’s important to carefully assess factors such as facial fat volume and skin thickness before deciding which treatment is right for you.
Which Lifting Treatment Is Right for Me?
In many cases, we actually recommend creating a treatment plan that combines different procedures rather than relying on just one.
During consultations, some patient ask,
"Doctor, can't I just get one treatment?"
Of course you can!
However, depending on your skin condition, combining treatments may sometimes provide more satisfying results.
For example, Titanium Lifting may be used to create an immediate lifting effect, while another treatment can be added to address areas or concerns that Titanium Lifting alone may not fully target.
That's why I prefer not to decide on a specific device before the consultation.
I first assess your skin condition and then discuss which treatment, or combination of treatments, may be the most suitable for you.
Eventually, It's Not About Finding the Best Device. It's About Finding the Right Treatment for You
These days, it's really easy to find information about different lifting devices and treatments online.
However, even with the same Titanium Lifting treatment, results can vary depending on the individual,
and two people with similar concerns may benefir from completely different treatment approaches.
If you're considering a lifting treatment, instead of saying "Which device is the best?"
I recommend starting with: "Which treatment is the best fit for my skin?"
Today we looked at the differences between Titanium Lifting, InMode, Ultherapy, and Thermage and how each treatment may be used for different concerns.
I'll be back next week with more helpful skincare and treatment information.
Have a wonderful day!
